Do you have what it takes to bring home the gold? Compete with other Canoeligans in regular game days to find out!

New in 2022

No more season-long leaderboards

Instead, we’ll be awarding overall gold, silver, and bronze medals for each game day in addition to the medals for each event. So don’t sweat it if you can’t make it out every time – just play your hardest when you can make it!

Fewer Game Days

Trying to keep up with weekly events was too much for everyone, so this year we’ll be cutting back to about once a month. Sign up for email updates at the bottom of this page, or follow us on Facebook to stay up to date with our schedule!

Replayable Events

Some events were just too much fun to only play once, so this year events can be voted in as many times as we’d all like. That’s right – we can now play Slip N Slide Flip Cup or Blowhard every single Game Day if that’s what people vote for!

Submit your Ideas

Anytime throughout the year, head over to the submission form and send us your best idea for an event. Team and solo events are both great, and we want to have many different styles of events (mental or logic competitions, feats of strength, drinking games, sheer dumb luck, etc.) so think outside the box!

You can submit as many event ideas as you want, just make sure to think about the logistics to make it happen: will we need to be at a special location? Are there extensive supplies needed? Are there limitations on the number of possible participants?

We’ll review submissions just to make sure they make sense, reach out to you if we have any questions, and then add your submission to the list of Potential Events!

Got an Idea?

Give your event a name and write up a short description and you’re all set.

Don’t forget to check out the Potential Events page to make sure you’re not submitting a duplicate.

Vote on your Favorites

About a week before each game day, we’ll open up voting on the list of Potential Events. Head over, read through the ideas, and vote on your favorites! You can vote for as many events as you would like, but you should only vote for events that you plan on participating in. We want to make sure that people will actually play the games we decide on!

As people vote on events, the list will automatically sort the most popular to the top; so you’ll be able to see the voting process in real time and see how your submissions or favorites are ranking.

Game On!

Games will happen about once a month on a Saturday or Sunday, depending on everyone’s schedules.

The day before the games, we’ll close the voting and see how the events stacked up! We’ll reach out to the submitters of the top few events to let them know that their games were chosen, and make sure they can attend (and bring any necessary supplies).

Once we’ve confirmed the events, we’ll post the list on the website so that you can all see what’s on the lineup for that weekend – then we can all get together and compete! We’ll start at the most popular, and move down through the list to play as many events as we can fit in that day.

Rinse and Repeat

After each game day, we’ll add the results to the website – including winners and participants for each event, photos, recaps, and the overall gold, silver, and bronze medalists for that game day!

Before we re-open voting for the next game day, we’ll add any new event submissions to the Potential Events list, and then clear all past votes (to be fair to new submissions).
